MIOS 2026 Registration Terms & Conditions.

1. Introduction
These Registration Terms & Conditions govern participation in MIOS 2026 (the “Conference”), organised by Manchester Ophthalmic Imaging & Ophthalmology Education Group (MOIEG) (the “Organising Committee”).
By registering for the Conference, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Registration
Registration must be completed via the official MIOS 2026 website.
A registration is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel a registration at its discretion.

3. Fees
Registration fees include access to:
  • Scientific sessions (as applicable to ticket type)
  • Exhibition areas
  • Conference materials
  • Scheduled networking sessions and refreshment breaks
Additional workshops or social events may require separate registration and payment.
All fees are stated in GBP (£). VAT will be applied where applicable.

4. Student Registration
Discounted registration rates are available to eligible students.
To obtain a student discount code, applicants must email the Organising Committee from their official institutional student email address. Additional proof of student status may be requested.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to withdraw discounted registration where eligibility cannot be verified.

5. Payment
Payment must be made at the time of registration unless an invoice has been formally requested and approved.
We accept major debit and credit cards.
All online payments are securely processed through our third-party payment provider, Square, Inc.. Payment information is transmitted directly to Square and is not stored by MOIEG.
By completing payment, you agree to Square’s applicable terms and policies.

6. Invoices
Delegates requiring an invoice for institutional payment must request this at the time of registration or contact the Organising Committee directly.
Invoices must be paid by the due date stated. Registration will only be confirmed once payment has been received in full.

7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
  • Cancellations received before July 1st will receive a refund minus an administrative fee.
  • Cancellations received on or after July 2nd are non-refundable.
  • Failure to attend the Conference does not entitle the participant to a refund.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed via the original payment method.

8. Transfers
Registrations may be transferred to another eligible participant until 25th July, 2026 , subject to written notification and approval by the Organising Committee.

9. Programme Changes
The Organising Committee reserves the right to modify the Conference programme, speakers, venue, format, or dates if necessary.
10. Force Majeure
The Organising Committee shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to public health emergencies, government restrictions, venue unavailability, natural disasters, or industrial action.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organising Committee shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to travel or accommodation costs, arising from participation in the Conference or changes to the programme.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability which cannot be excluded under applicable UK law.

12. Code of Conduct
MIOS 2026 is committed to providing a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Conference, any participant whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or contrary to the professional standards expected of attendees.

13. Data Protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the MIOS 2026 Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with the Conference shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
